ClinTec 'on track' with growth strategy as new offices open in Spain
The Contract Research Organization (CRO) announced that it is moving to a larger office in Barcelona and opening a new office in Madrid earlier this week.
“ClinTec International is adding significant depth in the main markets in the European Union, primarily driven by large scale oncology development programs,” Bobby Bal, Executive Vice President, ClinTec International Limited, told Outsourcing-Pharma.com.
Bal explained that the company has recently observed “a significant growth in demand with key clients who require clinical trial execution in Spain.” He added that the company is hiring a significant number of Clinical Research Associates (CRA) and Clinical Trial Assistants (CTA) within Spain.
“Our offices facilitate local clinical trial execution in Spain and Portugal, but also offer a gateway for Spanish clients to the rest of the ClinTec global infrastructure and functional services,” explained Bal.
The offices will focus on clinical operations, project management, and regulatory functions.
As Outsourcing-Pharma.com previously reported, the CRO began 2016 with two senior execute hires as part of the company’s growth strategy. In February, the company said it planned to grow considerably over the next 18 months.
ClinTec’s CEO and founder, Dr. Rabinder Buttar, described the expansion in Spain as a “new phase of development,” adding that the company is now “on track to scale the organization considerably in the next 12 months as we enter our 20th year of growth.”
