The Swiss firm, which provides active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) processing services and equipment, opened the facility last month shortly after it passed an inspection by regulator Swissmedic.
The warehouse has capacity to for 630 ‘euro-pallets’ – a standardized pallet measuring 1,200 by 800 by 144 millimetres – and is certified for the storage of APIs, high potency APIs and narcotic APIs.
Spokeswoman Gionvanna Libralon told us the warehouse is designed to accommodate expected growth in demand for processing and development services.
“Micro-Macinazione decided to build a new warehouse due to the company growth and the need to increase the storage capacity.”
Libralon added that: “Furthermore having invested a lot in the last three years in production revamping and new capabilities as well as new R&D laboratories we expect a further growth of the company.”
She also said that Micro Macinazione “has hired 15 people in the last two years reaching a total number of 115 employees.”
