New Ph I-IV data management system to provide access to clinical trial data in real time

Biomedical Systems and Foundry Health of Chicago will collaborate to develop the proprietary cloud-based data management system, which will cover all study phases.

Biomedical Systems, a Missouri-based clinical trial solutions provider, and Foundry Health, a digital health company, announced the collaboration yesterday.

According to the companies, the new cloud-based data management system will allow sponsors to immediately access clinical trial data in real time.

For more than forty years we’ve invested in tools and technologies to help our clients better manage clinical data. Our partnership with Foundry Health furthers this mission," Biomedical Systems CEO Tim Barrett told Outsourcing-Pharma.com.

"The cloud-based platform we are developing together will enable clinical-trial sponsors to view their data in real time and subsequently make decisions based upon this information. The overall benefit this affords sponsors is significant. More timely access to data facilitates a more proactive rather than reactive approach to trial management,” he added.

As part of the collaboration, Biomedical System will focus on applications in phases II to IV. Foundry Health will focus on phase I – as the company is also the creator of ClinSpark™, which it said is the world’s first CDISC ODM certified phase l eSource system.

The new system will be available to all Biomedical Systems clients.
