Center Point Clinical Services CEO Joe Martinez, told Outsourcing-Pharma.com the company’s mission is to “test drug better,” so that drugs “fail or succeed on their own merits.”
The company’s services combine its Clinical Trial Research Pharmacist (CTRP) program with direct-to-patient medicine delivery and single-screen technology access for both the CTRP and patient.
Center Point also provides patient screening, consenting, and recruitment through a network of pharmacies and local doctor offices.
According to the contract research organization (CRO), the model is another step in the clinical trial evolution.
“What we look to do is knock down the geographical barriers,” said Martinez, who explained the company created its model based on the patient, not the location of the clinical site or investigator.
“Because we establish a report with the patient … we’ve seen an increase in patient compliance and retention,” added Martinez.
Moving forward, the company is signing a global partnership agreement and plans to have coverage in the Middle East and the EU in Q1 2017.
Martinez also told us he expects to be in South America in 2017 as well, and in Asia and India by 2018.
The company will also be launching at “Uber” type review system in which its CTRP pharmacists can review patients and vice versa.
