“We recognize that the success of paying sites accurately and in a timely manner can ultimately impact the success of the enrollment into a clinical trial,” Tara Fitzgerald, President, Clinical Development Services and head of the company’s FSP offering, told us. “The timing of launching the FSP capability is to meet the demands from our customers, many of which are looking to outsource this service in response to the increased transparency reporting requirements.”
Fitzgerald also said offering investigator payments as an independent service gives sponsors more flexibility in choosing “the right mix for their needs.”
“We can offer greater value than just the competitive cost-per-payment pricing we provide, especially in the areas of global expertise and coverage,” she added. “Coupling our investigator payments services with our strength in data management and site contracting creates even greater advantages for our sponsors.”
The expanded service offering also includes database build, data management and global site contracting capabilities to reduce the time and increase efficiency through the startup process.
By using the integrated payments technology, from RAVE to MCTMS, Fitzgerald said the company has seen an approximate 2/3 reduction from visit to payment, compared to non-integrated solutions.
The FSP services will be provided as part of a dedicated business unit based in Raleigh, NC, US; Camberley, UK; and Gurgaon, India.
