According to the organization, the IAOCR Workforce Quality Accreditation focuses on business processes related to competence, professional development, and employee engagement.
In 2016, the global contract research organization (CRO) received IAOCR's bronze-level accreditation.
Eve Emerson, VP talent development, human resources at INC Research told us through the accreditation process IAOCR worked closely with the company’s business and connecting with clinical research associates (CRA’s), clinical monitoring associates (CMAs) and clinical data associates (CDAs).
“IAOCR spent time interviewing our talent and reviewing our processes to ensure we met their criteria for accreditation,” she explained.
As part of the process, INC Research also inspected its current people and processes and worked with the HR team to ensure alignment of job descriptions, development, and performance management.
“This process involved much collaboration across the organization to ensure best practice sharing and consistent processes,” added Emerson.
“We will continue to focus on training our workforce and ensure we maintain a highly trained and competent staff to best serve our customers and enhance patient safety and data integrity,” she added.
