Deloitte to upgrade Daiichi Sankyo's global drug safety platform

Daiichi Sankyo has adopted Deloitte’s ConvergeHEALTH Safety platform in order to enhance its global pharmacovigilance capabilities.

According to the audit, consulting, tax and advisory service company, ConvergeHEALTH Safety is a patient-focused and outcomes-based pharmacovigilance analytics tool.

As part of the analytics collaboration, Deloitte will provide DaiiChi Sankyo with predictive analytics, global and Japanese aggregate reporting, and compliance monitoring capabilities.

In the next 18 months we will have created more computing capacity than in all of human history,” Asif Dhar, principal and chief medical informatics officer at Deloitte Consulting, and an original architect of ConvergeHEALTH explained.

"There is a doubling of health data every 3 months," he added during his session at the DIA 2017 Annual Meeting.

Deloitte will also upgrade DaiiChi's existing transactional case processing system, which it said will further enhance monitoring and quality for adverse event case processing.
