INC Research continues to expand in Japan

INC Research has relocated and expanded its Tokyo, Japan-based office to support the company’s growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific region.

The global Phase I to IV contract research organization (CRO) outgrew its operations in Toyko over the past two and a half years after increasing its headcount more than fourfold, according to the Raleigh, NC-headquartered company.

INC Research also recently merged with inVentiv, at which time it said the transaction would expand the combined company’s global presence in areas such as Asia-Pacific – and specifically Japan, “where there is significant opportunity for growth,” it said.

Miranda Porter, Ph.D., senior vice president, Clinical Development, INC Research, told us the company is focused on growing this region with expanded service offerings ranging from full service to Functional Service Provider (FSP) to fit-for-purpose solutions.

Teams at both the Osaka and Tokyo offices offer decades of experience managing clinical trials within Japan across a wide array of therapeutic indications,” she said.

The company, which has 19 other offices in the region, is currently hiring for clinical trial associates, clinical research associates, project managers, project directors, pharmacovigilance, medical affairs, and data management professionals.
