EDASA Scientific has partnered with Namiki Shoji Co., a Japanese company distributing drug discovery compounds and intermediates to the pharmaceutical industry.

Launched in 1974 as a raw materials trading company, Namiki Shoji Co. markets pharmaceuticals, compounds for drug discovery, intermediates, and health foods.

Namiki is a well-established distributor of pharmaceutical reagents and screening compounds for the early stages of the drug discovery process,” Dr. Andrea Altieri, EDASA scientific corporative public relationship director told Outsourcing-Pharma.com.

Russia-based EDASA Scientific is a medicinal chemistry contract research organization (CRO) operating out of the Moscow State University’s (MSU) Science Park, where it has access to MSU’s facilities and scientific instruments for compound characterizations.

According to the CRO, Namiki Shoji Co. will act as the EDASA Scientific representative in the Japanese market.

This is a win-win partnership since [it] will allow Namiki to have access to our medicinal chemistry platform and proprietary strategic reagents,” said Altieri.

We will be acting on [an] exclusive basis as [the] medicinal chemistry provider for Namiki in Japan, thus rendering accessible our drug de-novo design, hit to lead generation and lead optimization technologies,” she explained.
