Marken is set to open a third Germany branch in the first quarter of 2018, marking the company’s third location in Germany and eleventh in Europe.

The new facility in Stuttgart will be more than 600 square meters and feature office and warehouse space, including a package conditioning area.

According to the company, demand for biopharmaceutical trial logistics is expected to grow the clinical trial supply and logistics market in Germany 7% from 2016 to 2021.

Across its three branches, the company will employ more than 100 people in Germany.

Marken will continue to provide its GMP depot services from its Frankfurt location.

Earlier this month, Marken also opened a new facility in China where it will assemble kits used to collect biological samples from patients in clinical trials.
