Agilent partners with Science Exchange to speed project initiation
The Agilent-Science Exchange portal will enable Agilent customers to search and request a quote for the company’s services on its website.
"This is the first time an instrument and reagent manufacturer has enabled technology on their website for ordering services from providers who utilize their instruments and reagents,” Elizabeth Iorns, PhD, co-founder and CEO of Science Exchange told Outsouring-Pharma.com.
Science Exchange is a platform for outsourced research that provides access to more than 6,000 services from a network of more than 2,500 scientific service providers.
As Iorns explained, all the service providers available through the Agilent-Science Exchange portal have legal agreements in place that protect client intellectual property (IP) and confidentiality, so no further legal agreements are necessary.
“This vastly increases the speed of project initiation for scientists looking to outsource projects to providers with Agilent Technologies," she said.
According to the companies, usage trends of both service provider and Agilent products will be analyzed. Marketing of the new portal is set to begin this month.
Also this week, Science Exchange announced a partnership with the health information technology company, Novaseek Research.
Science Exchange users will now have access to the Novaseek’s Clinical Data Network for Research (CDNR) platform through which they can obtain biospecimens, with patient consent and authorization, in addition to associated real-world clinical data, according to the company.
