Strategikon launches Clinical Maestro: 50-75% of outsourcing process costs could be eliminated, says CEO
Clinical Maestro’s capabilities include modeling operational and cost scenarios, forecasting, selecting and managing clinical service providers and clinical contracts.
“This is pioneering technology,” said Anca Copaescu, Strategikon founder and CEO, last week at the SCOPE Summit in Orland, FL.
The platform covers the entire spectrum of planning, budgeting, and contract lifecycle management, she told us.
“There are currently no commercial off-the-shelf solutions to automate outsourcing processes. The only tools available are customized, one-off solutions for big pharma. These are primarily bidding portals that are not connected to planning and budgeting and they are not available to the broader market,” Copaescu said.
The platform features “dual applications”– one that is sponsor facing and the other for contract research organizations (CROs).
Copaescu said the idea – and hope – is that the platform will be able to eliminate paper. “By paper, I mean the process of creating RFPs, using templates and responding in PDF, and managing excel budgets,” she explained.
“You can safely leave the excel and the paper and the template, and digitize core processes,” she added, noting that the processes have historically been time-consuming and expensive for both sponsors and CROs.
“There is so much potential to cut [costs],” Copaescu said. “I am estimating between 50 and 75% of outsourcing process costs could be eliminated using Maestro.”
“It’s really massive because you can create a plan in a minute. You can create an RFP in literally in the push of a button,” she added. “It’s really dramatic and it’s beautiful too, and that’s why I’m so proud of it.”
