With the addition of the hospital to its network, Clinerion will be able to offer its pharmaceutical and contract research organization (CRO) clients the ability to assess potential trial populations in Georgia for inclusion in clinical trials.

The hospital, which has 100 beds and serves a population area of approximately 1.2m, is the first hospital in the country of Georgia to join Clinerion’s network.

Additionally, First Hospital’s clinical director Zaza Metreveli was awarded a World Health Organization (WHO) prize for research in health promotion for his contribution to medicine, explained David Oshkhereli, director of First Hospital, in a press release.

Clinerion has expanded its network significantly over the last few years through strategic partnerships. The Switzerland-based company also filed a patent for its anonymized patient identification technology in 2017.
