WCG’s new SiteReady solution looks to alleviate the challenges facing research teams, helping clinical trial sites remain “highly ranked” with sponsors.

SiteReady features a set of services including clinical trial management system (CTMS) and electronic institutional review board (eIRB) management, as well as budget optimization, contract execution, and ethical review. It also includes site-specific recruitment and enrollment services and technology.

WIRB-Copernicus Group (WCG) President of independent sites Sean Walsh, MBA, ACHE, told us the new offering will support research sites by providing greater access to study opportunities and sponsor connections. The company also will make general and site-specific performance benchmarking data available.

“Research teams face major challenges, including the hurdle of finding patients who meet study criteria, the burden of technology silos, stretched research teams, and an unpredictable pipeline of clinical trial opportunities,” said Walsh.

“WCG SiteReady helps alleviate the burdens sites face and provides performance data on strengths and weaknesses to help sites remain highly ranked with sponsors,” he added.

WCG has made several acquisitions to bolster its service offering over the last few years. This includes the addition of eConsent technology and CTMS to its lineup, as well as a new office in Tokyo, Japan.

The company also acquired the endpoint adjudication and data monitoring services firm ACI Clinical and two clinical trial benchmarking companies, KMR Group and MCC, in 2018.

Additionally, to further support trial recruitment, WCG last year partnered with the health care social network Inspire, after purchasing the global patient recruitment, enrollment, and retention firm, ThreeWire, in 2017.
