Through the partnership with the global clinical research consultancy company, Alpha MD, Indian patients may be matched with international research studies as Indian health care organizations are brought on to Clinerion’s patient network explorer platform.
A spokesperson for Clinerion told us, “India has excellent medical facilities and experts, but its large patient population is not yet fully accessible for clinical studies. Doing trials in India also allows pharma the possibility to develop treatments for the diverse local populations of India.”
Clinerion’s patient network explorer platform brings international clinical studies to the country and enables expanded patient care and trial access using the company’s patented anonymized patient identification technology and hospital network.
The Clinerion spokesperson explained that the patient network explorer will also be used to make decisions for the siting of clinical studies in India. The network enables the trial sponsor to have a view into the eligible patient population in each partner site and highlights where clusters of eligible patients are, speeding up trial recruitment.
The company’s patient research network has expanded throughout recent years through partnerships and has entered into countries such as Georgia, Poland, Greece, Estonia, and Turkey.
