Parexel forms a strategic partnership with Clariness to deploy the ClinLife platform in the Greater China area as the CRO looks to recruit and engage patients in their native language and via social media channels.

With 20 years of experience working in Greater China, the Waltham, MA-headquartered contract research organization (CRO) Parexel aims to improve patient recruitment in the area through its partnership with Clariness.

The partnership will see Clariness, a global patient recruitment company, provide Parexel with access to its ClinLife patient portal.

Michael Stadler, CEO of Clariness, said in a statement, “In China today, digital platforms have become a dominant form of communication, with more than 770 million internet users reported in the country; however, many foreign companies are unable to obtain necessary licenses for compliance to reach these audiences.”

The ClinLife platform is currently live in over 50 countries and is compatible with over 28 languages. It has been used by thousands of clinical trial sites globally.

Additionally, as the platform has the capability to reach native speakers, the alliance will work to survey and screen patients for undiagnosed or underdiagnosed conditions for future or current clinical trials.

Parexel has eight offices and over 1,400 employees in China and an additional 8,000 in the Asia Pacific region.
