Navitas Life Sciences taps ThoughtSphere to power its digital and clinical analytics cloud-based clinical data SaaS OneClinical, as the company continues to grow after Kai Research acquisition.

ThoughtSphere, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, will provide the global contract research organization (CRO), Navitas, with clinical trial oversight to provide the organization with faster decision-making capabilities using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.

The SaaS provided during this collaboration will also give Navitas access to ThoughtSphere’s data collation and aggregation services. Navitas will apply these services to its technology and analytics centered OneClinical platform used for trial oversight and study outcome insights.

Navitas stated that, through this partnership, its OneClinical platform’s smart mapper function will be run by ThoughtSphere’s AI and machine learning services and therefore significantly reduce the cost in mapping highly complex studies.

ThoughtSphere will present the platform at DIA 2019 Global Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA, to demonstrate its capabilities.

Navitas’ recent growth

Just last month, Navitas acquired US-based Kai Research to expand its trial footprint in North America and Africa.

The acquisition saw Navitas grow its clinical trial network, as well as gain access to Kai’s e-clinical solutions, adding to its offerings as a CRO and ability to manage trials in a variety of research areas.
