ClinOne is launching a direct-to-patient recruitment platform, which will initially be offered at no cost to sponsors for the first year.

ClinOne is a Colorado, US-based software company providing clinical trial management and patient enrollment services.

“In our initial launch phase of this technology, we would like to have sponsors pilot our technology at no cost through 2020, measure success, and provide valuable feedback to our organization,” said ClinOne CEO Rob Bohacs, in a statement. "This feedback will ultimately benefit all sponsors as it will help us improve upon the app, should we see from the data that this is indicated."

Recruitment for US-based trials will be supported in the first quarter of the year and will be expanded to additional regions the following quarter. Through the launch, the company aims to accelerate drug development by simplifying and facilitating patients enrollment, as well as improving patients understanding on clinical trials process.

The platform will provide patients with information about their disease and will include screening questions, in order to identify which patients match a specific trial and mitigate unqualified patients from being admitted into trials.

ClinTrialConnect will be integrated with disease associations, while ClinOne has also partnered with Uber to include patient transportation services to the clinical trial sites.

The platform will enable patients to share clinical trial details with members of their family, and also include a calendar to manage the study appointments, with reminders and Google Map navigation.

Additionally, ClinTrialConnect will provide patients with a document library to store their study documents provided by the trial sites.
