ACG Inspection, a unit of ACG group providing pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging services, announced the establishment of a ‘center of excellence’ facility in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland.
The site will house the company’s headquarters for its logistics business in Europe and, according to Ettore Cucchetti, the company’s CEO, it is expected to enable ACG to create ‘adaptive’ solutions and respond to its clients’ requirements, making them ‘future-ready’.
During the days following the site’s opening, the company will demonstrate to visitors its services based on artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies, expected to answer the rising demands for automation in the pharmaceutical supply chain.
Cucchetti stated that the facility “is set to be a hub of R&D in the region, with aims to discover new technologies for serialization, aggregation, PAT, blister inspection, authentication, and track & trace solutions (including geo-localisation and temperature monitoring).”
The opening of the ‘Center of Excellence’ facility in Switzerland follows the establishment of an ‘Experience Studio’ in Moscow, announced by ACG Inspection earlier this year.
