The Serialized Product Intelligence application uses serialization data to help operations streamline supply-chain operations, resolve issues and more.

TraceLink has introduced Serialized Product Intelligence (SPI), a cloud-based application that harnesses serialization data to provide actionable intelligence and help optimize supply-chain operation. The technology is designed to help simplify the process of managing serialization data across an option, enabling users to proactively monitor serialized operations, proactively identify supply chain issues, avoid potentially expensive delays, and maintain timely product delivery.

SPI is an automated, self-service analytics application built on the company’s Opus Digital Network Platform. The application is intended to enable companies to aggregate and analyze serialization data, so that they can accelerate resolution of supply-chain disruptions and improve timeliness of product delivery.

A TraceLink spokesperson told Outsourcing-Pharma that the SPI application helps users avoid supply-chain tangles and realize a number of benefits related to brand and product launches.

SPI performs automated and real-time sync of continuously incoming serialization data and events, while honoring complex business rules and diverse regulatory requirements, enabling self-service capabilities for stakeholders across the enterprise,” they told us. “With operations on track, pharmaceutical professionals can avoid repetitive, onerous, and manual effort and focus their attention on scaling their business, launching new products, and driving brand reliability.”

Shabbir Dahod, TraceLink CEO and president, said serialization technology creates value for the entire supply chain.

As the crucial link to delivering actionable intelligence, companies can use serialization as the foundation for the digital transformation of their supply chain,” said Dahod. “Current processes for managing serialization operations are unsustainable and riddled with complexities, with data coming from various sources and a growing number of new compliance mandates emerging across the globe;  Serialized Product Intelligence eliminates these complexities, providing companies with a single source of the truth to identify and resolve disruptions quickly and keep operations on track to ensure medicines reach patients safely and on time.”

According to the company, SPI helps users utilize serialization technology across their enterprise, for a number of benefits:

  • Achieving proactive control of serialization data access and analysis
  • Realizing more rapid resolution of disruptions
  • Streamlining supply-chain operations
