Variable-dose pen injector platform designed for simple use
Stevanato Group, a company offering a variety of drug delivery, containment, and diagnostic products to pharmaceutical clients, is showings its SG Alina pen injector platform at CPhI Worldwide, taking place in person November 9-11 in Milan. The product, designed to be user-friendly for patients, is a variable-doze pen injector platform compatible with various current therapeutic regimens, as well as innovator diabetes-care treatments.
Andrea Zambon, Stevanato Group’s corporate business development director, said the SG Alina product fits in with the company’s mission to offer clients a broad range of options and solutions.
"The growing demand for customized products, produced faster and more cost-effectively than ever before, means pharma companies are increasingly outsourcing activities to contract organizations," Zambon said. "Our team is looking forward to highlighting the benefits of our full-service, integrated, flexible, and modular approach for pharma companies large and small worldwide."
According to Stevanato Group, the product is intended to be aesthetic as well as functional; features an easy-to-dial mechanism, optimized injection force for patient comfort, and a readable display.
Additionally, clients reportedly can customize the SG Alina pen injector with several options. These include dosing and color selection, going to more complex industrial designs tailored to the specifications of a particular client.
Stevanato Group reports the company will share with attendees of CPhI Worldwide a glimpse at the integrated approach to supporting pharmaceutical customers along the drug development process. Their stated offerings include analytical services, drug containment solutions, automation, and assembly equipment and contract manufacturing.
CPhI Worldwide 2021 is a hybrid event; the in-person component (expected to host up to 30,000 industry professionals with 1,400 exhibitors) takes place November 9-11 in Milan, and the digital content will be available until November 19.
