The company states that with the expansion of its digital services, its digital supply chain operations platform is the first end-to-end solution of its kind on the market.

ParkourSC, a company offering digital supply chain operation solutions to the pharma industry, announced that it had extended its range of offerings. The company has developed a closed-loop supply chain command center solution, as well as integrating digital twin technology and embedded intelligence into its platform.

When asked about the company’s claims on being the first end-to-end digital solution on the market, Mahesh Veerina, CEO of ParkourSC, told Outsourcing-Pharma: “ParkourSC’s digital supply chain solution is the first of its kind to integrate a fully blown end-to-end closed loop Command Center solution. ParkourSC’s Supply Chain Command Center removes legacy domain-specific functional and data silos and provides pharma manufacturers with a consolidated view of all activities or actions that are ongoing, in real time all the time.

The platform allows every partner and constituent in the supply chain to be made visible from a centralized place. Beyond tracking, the newly added digital twin technology also drives advanced analytics, informed decision intelligence and the continuous alignment of planning and execution across any number of linked supply chains,Veerina added.

In designing the additional tools to be added to its portfolio, Parkour SC conducted a survey to determine the core issues facing logistics across the industry.

According to the company, the results found that more than a quarter of firms had experienced damaged, spoiled or lost inventory. Further than this, 90% reported that they did not have full visibility across their supply chains and did not trust the in-transit data they were receiving.

“The supply chain challenges that pharma manufacturers face are well-documented. Temperature excursions, logistical problems, adverse climate conditions, labor shortages, amongst other challenges, all highlight the need for supply chain operations to be closely managed and optimized,” Veerina outlined.

This is where ParkourSC states that it can offer a solution, by increasing the levels of data generated to track and manage the supply chain. In terms of the practical benefits this offers, it allows customers to gain predictive intelligence into supplier capacity based on history to then adjust production shifts to avoid or mitigate supply risks.

The move to digitize the supply chain has been gathering pace in recent years, especially after the pandemic and adverse weather events have tested the resilience of the traditional model of operations. This has seen a group of companies unite in the UK to create better a connected supply chain, and increased investment in improving digital cold chain solutions.
