BPR: Could you give me an overview of the work you do at Bios Health Group and what the company focuses on?
At Bios Health Group, our primary focus lies in collaborating with biotech and life Science companies. We specialize in offering comprehensive services encompassing investment strategy and investor engagement, clinical development, regulatory, patient engagement, and commercial strategy. Our mission is to assist these companies in securing investments, expediting drug development processes, and optimizing the value of their pipelines, thereby ensuring successful product launches in the market.
BPR: When did your interest in science develop?
My interest in the field blossomed during my early years in grade school, although I have always maintained a business-oriented perspective alongside my scientific pursuits.
BPR: What piqued your interest?
My initial passion for science was sparked by my parents, Dr. Tom and Dr. Mrs. Emily Egbuwoku, both of whom have passed away. As their oldest child, they strongly encouraged me to pursue a career in medicine, igniting my passion for science.
BPR: Can you tell us about your journey to where you are now?
My academic journey led me to study Biochemistry at the University of Ibadan, followed by a Master's Degree in Biotechnology at University College London (UCL). During my time at UCL, my thesis focused on financing the biotechnology business. I furthered my education with an MBA from Chapman University in California. My career commenced as a research scientist, and over the years, I transitioned into roles encompassing commercial, consulting, and clinical Development in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and CRO world. This diverse experience has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare and drug development life cycle, spanning early-stage research to commercialization.

Throughout my journey, I encountered challenges, particularly during transition periods.

My proudest achievements lie in my ability to develop and replicate impactful strategic business models and solutions and mentor leaders. In my current role, I am deeply passionate about assisting biotech companies in advancing their innovative products from development and bringing therapies to the patients as quickly as possible. By offering tailored solutions to attract investments and optimize clinical development, regulatory compliance, patient engagement, and commercial strategy, I contribute to bridging the gap between innovative healthcare solutions and the patients who need them most.
