Movianto doubles 3PL capability at two sites
at two of its European sites with the construction of two new
warehouses, in answer to increased demand.
With the newly operational facilities, the third-party logistics (3PL) service provider has extended its pallet capacity in Greenogue, Ireland from 5,000 to 12,000 spaces and in Brno, Czech Republic from 3,000 to 10,500 spaces. "Numerous new contracts, coupled with an increase in demand from pharmaceutical manufacturers for outsourcing logistics services, meant that investing in new warehouse capacity was a necessity," said Conor Roche, managing director of Movianto. As well as increasing capacity, the site in Brno is in a "strategically important geographical location" and it is intended that in the future it will increasingly serve as a central warehouse for the Eastern European region, said the firm. At this point Movianto has no other sites in any other Eastern European countries, although looking forward it is the company's intention to change this, as pharmaceutical manufacturing in the area increases.
