VCI partners for cGMP e-learning
Ensuring employees are trained in the details of US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and guidance is an important aspect in achieving compliance. In light of this, some companies use third-party educational establishments, such as the VCI, for training.
The VCI has now enhanced its offering by entering into the agreement with SyberWorks. Under the terms of the deal VCI will use SyberWorks’ hosted learning management system (LMS) as the platform for its e-learning offering. Topics include current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
Norm Howe, senior partner at VCI, believes expanding beyond traditional classroom-type training is the next logical step in the development of the business. Offering the e-learning system provides customers with a, possibly more convenient, alternative to classroom-based education.
Furthermore, VCI claims the system is cost-effective, easy to use and works as a training tool. This has been achieved by drawing on the knowledge of regulatory experts, adult learning professionals and industry operations personnel, according to VCI.
Deal with SyberWorks
Underpinning the e-learning system is SyberWorks’ hosted LMS. Howe explained this “meets all of [VCI’s] needs with room to grow at a reasonable price” and adopting it allows the company to “provide world class regulatory training and learning management to even the smallest companies”.
Organisations using the system can manage and track all types of training, including e-learning, classroom-based study and self-paced programmes. In addition the system includes tools for testing, reporting, management, communication and collaboration.
