ClinicalRM – which ICON acquired in 2016 – has become ICON Government and Public Health Solutions (GPHS), providing full-service clinical trial execution and functional services to government, NGOs, and commercial customers.

The contract research organization (CRO) Icon plc completed its acquisition of Clinical Research Management, Inc. (ClinicalRM) in September 2016.

Today, as ICON GPHS, the company has more than 380 personnel globally to provide “boots-on-the-ground and rapid response efforts to global health crises,” explained Dr. James F. Cummings, president of ICON GPHS

“The launch of ICON GPHS has been a process since ICON first acquired ClinicalRM some 18 months ago,” he told us.

ICON GPHS provides full-service clinical development and staffing services to support US federal research, the public health sector including non-government organizations (NGOs), academic institutions, and others.

“This is more than a rebranding effort, it is strengthening the high-quality work and enhancing the value that ICON GPHS already brings to the global health space by leveraging the broader clinical research capabilities for which ICON is world renowned,” Cummings added.
