Azlon unveils double-secure bottles
that combine both tamper-evident and child-resistant closures.
Azlon Plastic Packaging, a subsidiary of Bibby Sterilin, has introduced a range of pharmaceutical screw top bottles that combine both tamper-evident and child-resistant closures.
Most manufacturers offer only one closure option per bottle, but Azlon says that its two-pronged approach "ensures that medicines, tablets, capsules or powders are not used inappropriately." The bottles are available in a range of sizes, from 60ml to 1,000ml.
Options include a wide mouth child-resistant tablet bottle, with or without a tamper-evident band, and a sloped shoulder tamper-evident version with or without a child-resistant closure. All of these designs are available in US Food and Drug Administration-approved HDPE (high density polyethylene).
Azlon said that the packaging bottles can be tailored to many styles and colours and can be supplied printed or labelled, according to customer preference.
