Electron lab notebook software gets revamp
for the drug discovery and development industry, has launched a new
ELN platform that can be used right across any pharmaceutical or
biotechnology company.
The product, IDS v4.2, can be used in drug discovery and development, formulation, analytical and bioprocess departments, according to the company, and this is the first generation of the software to include bioprocess and analytical modules.
The package is comprised of six product suites that allow pharmaceutical companies to replace paper lab notebooks and, claims the company, "help chemists and engineers make better decisions".
In addition to the IntelliChem Discovery, Synthesis and Formulations suites, the new version includes Methods, a fully searchable intelligent ELN system for recording and analysing laboratory data, and BioProcess, claimed to be the first intelligent ELN built specifically for bioprocess engineers dealing with biological development.
Using IntelliChem Methods, analytical chemists can record and track standard sample preparation and analysis procedures for reuse throughout laboratories and departments. It handles the documentation of routine analyses and incorporates a searchable database of procedures and results.
BioProcess can be used to track samples through different stages of fermentation and purification, preparing multi-step bioprocess protocols, and preparing documentation.
Also in the new package is IntelliChem Research , a low-cost entry point for small biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, that consists of a simple, one page electronic editor that replaces paper lab notebooks, along with IntelliChem's Vault AXD document management system.
