ProSim launches enhanced compound properties database
thermo-physicial properties of close to 2,000 pure compounds that
should be valuable for researchers working in process simulation.
DIPPR L03+ is an enhanced version of the widely used AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers) DIPPR database, the main reference for this type of information.
Last year, ProSim signed an agreement with Brigham Young University, the exclusive distributor of the DIPPR (Design Institute for Physical Properties) database, to get a worldwide license to its use in thermodynamic properties calculation or process simulation software.
The company is one of only a handful of companies in the world with the right to distribute this database. ProSim also offers the DIPPR Lite 2003 release, which contains the properties of 1743 compounds, including all industrially relevant components.
The properties covered include data for 29 fixed-value properties (molar weight, critical temperature, critical pressure, etc) and correlation coefficients for 15 temperature-dependent properties (liquid and vapour heat capacity, vapour pressure, liquid and vapour viscosity, etc).
ProSim DIPPR L03+ includes additional information for close to 2000 compounds from research projects and studies conducted by ProSim's in-house thermodynamic team.
"With DIPPR L03+, users have access to the best pure components properties data available. This guarantees them the most reliable results when performing thermodynamic calculations and process simulation, in particular with ProSim software," claimed Stephane Dechelotte, the company's CEO.
DIPPR L03+ is available as a standalone package, alongside Component Plus (ProSim's free pure component properties database management software) or as an option to any ProSim package. The standalone version can be purchased online from the ProSim website for €1,400 for an individual local license.
