Clinerion adds 4.5m patients to recruitment platform
Clinerion’s patient data services include data-assisted protocol optimization, site feasibility evaluation, and patient identification.
The Ankara, Turkey-based Başkent University has more than 1,500 beds and six general hospital locations throughout Turkey with a total of approximately 4.5m patients. It also has an additional eight Dialysis Centers.
Bariş Erdoğan, Ph.D., head of EEMEA region, Clinerion Turkey, told us that access to a new, large patient pool increases the probability of complete clinical trial recruitment.
The addition also expands Clinerion’s coverage throughout Turkey and provides pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations (CROs) access to specialized researchers.
“For example, Başkent has specialists on physical therapy and rehabilitation, psycho-social rehabilitation, and dialysis – ensuring that trials to be conducted in those areas will have excellent clinical support,” said Erdoğan.
“By setting up a technically advanced professional research center, clinical trial processes will be manageable and measurable. More clinical trials will be available to the site and it will become a center of attraction for global sponsors,” he explained.
As Outsourcing-Pharma.com previously reported, the company has been expanding its services into countries in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) following Erdoğan’s appointment as the new regional head earlier this year.
