Appointments at Omnicare, Kendle and Clinsys – People on the move
Omnicare Clinical Research has appointed James Pusey as president and CEO. In this capacity Pusey will take responsibility for Omnicare’s contract research organisation (CRO) operations worldwide.
Ganesh Iyer has been appointed as president and CEO of preclinical CRO Algos Therapeutics. Before joining Algos Iyer worked at MDS Pharma Services and has also held positions at ZymoGenetics and Xcyte Therapies.
CRO Premier Research Group Limited has promoted Troy McCall, currently its chief operating officer, to CEO. McCall has worked at Premier for three years and over this period has led the successful integration of four acquisitions.
Jeff Jennings has joined Strategic Directions Consulting as managing director responsible for consulting on the commercialisation of biologics, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Kendle has appointed John Needham as executive director and global head, patient enrolment strategy. In this role Needham will develop and implement programmes to accelerate patient recruitment, improve retention and ensure trials are timely and efficiently delivered for clients.
Needham has more than 30 years industry experience, including 20 years in roles focused on patient enrolment. Most recently he served as founder and CEO of Needham and Company, a specialist recruiting firm, and has also worked at Johnson & Johnson and Acurian.
Karen Lewis has joined Clinsys Clinical Research as vice president (VP) of global clinical operations. Lewis has more than 20 years clinical research experience at companies including PharmaNet, SFBC International and Otsuka Maryland Research Institute.
Cardinal Health has appointed Mark Blake as executive VP of strategy and corporate development. Blake joins Cardinal from Medco Health Solutions and has also held positions at Avaya, AllixPartners and Merrill Lynch & Co.
